Conner Jonathan Kempson was born on March 6, 1989 to a couple on vacation in Honolulu, Hawaii. His mother, Anne, being on sabbatical from Juilliard and after having a difficult pregnancy, it was what she wanted. Her husband, Jesse, a construction contractor worried, but doing what he could to make it a good fit for her. The two had been wanting children and believed they held off for too long when difficulty conceiving came into play. The moment that he was finally outside of his mothers womb, all was right with the world. All ten little fingers and toes, a sweet disposition, and clinging to her for warmth.

There was one small note about his eyes, but his parents didn't fully take concern to it until he was almost six months along. The difference in his eyes, the color they didn't understand what happened and instantly blamed themselves. There was nothing off setting about his vision, it was only a difference in color, only it was noticable. They never let him believe that he was anything but perfect, as parents would go about. Nothing more different than a birthmark in the open or a noticable beauty mark on the face.

Once Anne's sabbatical was over, she didn't feel the need to go back to work. It was what she loved doing, but time with Conner made her feel as though it was too hard to pull away. Who would she trust him with? How could she handle the separation anxiety of leaving him in daycare? Slopes of depression and anxiety had her clinging to the boy rather than pushing him away. Her husband not knowing how to handle the situation continued to go along with this but giving more separation of himself with her due to needing to get back to work. The strain of flights back and forth when he had the time became a strain on himself. When he wanted a divorce, by the time that Conner was nine, it did not come out of nowhere.

The entire experience felt like a wake up call for Anne and she packed up and headed for New York. With him being older, in school, and her without as many reasons to hold back, she began taking prescribed medications to handle her depression and anxiety, to go back to work. She would not relent and end up passing off Conner to nanny after nanny or what felt like near constant daycare to her. The juggle and finally a willingness to work with Jesse over child support and visiting she learned her life lesson.

Growing up, Conner was into everything. He didn't pay any attention to what was going on with his parents except when it was directly in front of him. People argued, they walked away, but they always came back. What was going on happened to a lot of his friends and he didn't feel the need to worry. Conner has never done much worrying in his life. But no one ever saw this as an issue, the way that things slid off his shoulders. The weight not there, only to walk around questioning what to do next. It was a thought that kept coming back to mind. Boredom came easy, nothing else did.

His attention was hard to keep down, as he hopped into clubs, sports, and anything else he could think of in order to find something that made him happy. Nothing really did. It was a short time before it fizzled out. Finding new people, meeting new friends, it helped him a lot. Quick to learn, but not quick to act.

Genetics was one of those areas that kept going on and on. He had more questions than there were answers. It didn't come easy for him and he did have to work, but not as much as he would have initially believed. It was a decision that he made to go into it only after high school. The travel to Boston and seeing what the University had to offer. This was what he wanted and was comfortable with. It brought out a new side to him and he was happy to make that move once he was accepted.

Through school and work, there should have been enough for him to do and handle. It never turned out that way. Feeling more like a drone that is always trying to make it to the weekend, he tries to power his way through the week. Freedom being seen at the end of the Friday work hour. Conner is lucky to have people around him that put up with him. The things he says, the pranks he pulls to strive to keep himself together and feeling less like a man losing his mind .It's any wonder that the neighbors get any real peace themselves.

Superboy Superboy is a clone created by Project Cadmus to replace Superman that was grafted with Superman's DNA (as opposed to a younger version of Superman). Artificially aged to his mid-teens and implanted with a high school equivalency education, he was freed by the Newsboy Legion and escaped before the experiment could be completed (i.e. aging him to full adulthood and implanting him with safeguards to control him). One of the boys gave him a leather jacket before he set out into the city (having his first brush with being Superman when he encounters Sidearm attempting to rip off an ATM).
